Acceptance

By using ReelScope, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ReelScope. If you are under 15, you must obtain the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian, in accordance with Article 7-1 of the French Data Protection Act. A Tribe organiser declares that they are the parent or legal guardian of the minor members they add, or are authorised to add them and to authorise the processing of their data as part of the Tribe features. You must have the legal capacity required to accept these terms.

Service description

ReelScope provides automated content filtering for social media feeds. We curate and classify content before displaying it in a safer feed experience.

User-selected filtering and parental controls

ReelScope is an independent filtering and parental-control tool. Filters are activated at the request of the user or, for a supervised minor, according to the choices of the authorised parent or guardian. Depending on the feature used, ReelScope may inspect visible page or content elements, including text, a public creator name, hashtags, a thumbnail, or a media address, to decide whether content should be shown, hidden, or flagged. ReelScope does not post, like, follow, comment, or take another social action on the user's behalf merely to apply these filters. Filters can be changed or disabled in the available settings. Automated filtering can produce false positives and false negatives and does not guarantee that no inappropriate content will appear.

Third-party platforms and content

ReelScope provides access to content hosted by third-party services, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Snapchat, Vimeo, PeerTube instances, Mastodon, and Bluesky. Where available, ReelScope verifies and uses a player, embed, or link supplied by the relevant platform; the content remains hosted and controlled by that platform or PeerTube instance. ReelScope does not download or rehost Vimeo or PeerTube video files. ReelScope is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with these services unless expressly stated in writing. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify content source or compatibility. Your use of a third-party service remains subject to its own terms and policies.

Limitations

Content filtering is automated and may not catch all unsafe content. ReelScope is a supplementary tool and does not replace personal judgement. We are not responsible for content that passes through our filters.

Account responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for any activity under your account, including any reels you share, comments you post, or reactions you give in a Tribe Feed.

Tribe Feed conduct

When you share reels, post comments, or invite friends through the Tribe Feed, you agree not to: (i) harass, threaten, or insult other members; (ii) share illegal content or content that infringes the rights of others; (iii) post commercial solicitations, advertising, or links to unrelated services; (iv) impersonate any other person; (v) attempt to circumvent moderation. Comments are automatically screened by an AI safety system; we may remove any comment, reaction, or invitation that violates these rules. A Tribe organiser (parent or guardian, where applicable) may at any time remove any Tribe member they added. Repeated violations may result in suspension of access to Tribe Feed features.

Paid services and payments

Prices, taxes, features, duration, and any renewal are shown before payment. The payment method depends on where you subscribe: in the iOS app, payment is processed by Apple via the App Store; in the Android app, by Google via Google Play; on the website, by Stripe. For purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, management, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled from your Apple or Google account and are subject to their policies. A subscription renews automatically at the frequency shown at purchase until cancelled, taking effect at the end of the current period. Mandatory consumer rights — in particular regarding information, withdrawal, and refunds where applicable — remain unaffected. For a digital service supplied immediately, you may request performance before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period and thereby acknowledge that you waive that right once the service is fully performed.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation ends paid access to the Tribe Feed and other paid features, but does not automatically delete your account data.

User content

You keep your rights in the text, reactions, comments, and shared videos you publish, in particular in the Tribe Feed. During the time they are online and to the extent necessary to operate the service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, transferable to our technical providers, to host, reproduce, adapt to the technical format, and display this content. You warrant that you have the necessary rights and authorisations and may delete your content or your account using the features provided.

ReelScope intellectual property

The ReelScope brand, interface, software, illustrations, text, and graphic elements — excluding user content — are protected. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these terms.

Copyright claims

If you believe content on ReelScope infringes copyright, privacy, or another right, or is illegal or endangers a minor, send a notice to info@reelscope.app with, where possible: the original URL, the ReelScope URL or item identifier, the reporting category and reasons, supporting information, and your contact details. We review good-faith notices, may temporarily make content unavailable in a credible emergency, and communicate the outcome where legally permitted. For content hosted directly by ReelScope, we may remove it and suspend repeat infringers. For third-party content, removal from ReelScope delists it from our index or interface but does not delete the original from its hosting platform; you should also use the source platform's reporting procedure. Where appropriate, affected users may provide a counter-notice or challenge the decision.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Content filtering is automated and may let through or hide some content; we do not guarantee its completeness. This does not exclude or limit any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the statutory guarantee of conformity owed to consumers.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, ReelScope does not guarantee the accuracy of filtering or the absence of inappropriate content. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ReelScope shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, profits, or reputation arising from your use of the service, and our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights.

Changes to the terms

We may change these terms to reflect changes to the service or applicable law. In the event of a significant change, we will inform you before it takes effect by an appropriate means. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms, without depriving consumers of their legal rights.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving a consumer of the mandatory protections of their country of residence. In the event of a difficulty, first contact info@reelscope.app to seek an amicable solution. You retain the right to bring the matter before the competent courts and, where the legal conditions are met, a consumer mediator.

Consumer mediation

In accordance with the French Consumer Code, after contacting us and failing a satisfactory response, you may use a free consumer mediation procedure with: CM2C, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris. Tel: 01 89 47 00 14. Website: https://www.cm2c.net/declarer-un-litige.php. Email: litiges@cm2c.net.
